The use of the statement digital technology employment is relative. The essential difference is that in a digital economy, digital is a product, while in a digital-based economy, digital is a tool. This difference is not yet well distinguished in the subject matter literature. Both are strongly interdisciplinary, involving multiple industries. In the second meaning refers to the use of digital technologies such as digital engineering and management to produce economic benefits and job creation.
